Provo Chiropractor: Passive Care

With our Provo chiropractor, Phase I is an passive phase of treatment. If you are in pain when you come into our office, the first objective is to provide relief.

Our Provo chiropractor utilizes all types of physiotherapy to reduce pain including: ultrasound, micro-amperage electrical stimulation (MES), cryotherapy, moist heat, inversion and massage therapy. The severity of your symptoms will determine the duration of passive care.

Provo Chiropractor: Looking for Relief?

Many people go to a Provo chiropractor because they are in pain.

In this first phase of care, the main goal is to reduce your symptoms.

Sometimes this will require two to three visits per week until you find relief.

Most people are under the assumption that if they don't feel any pain, there is nothing wrong with them – that they are healthy. Unfortunately, pain is a very poor indicator of health. In fact, pain and other symptoms frequently only appear after a disease or condition has become advanced.

For example, consider a cavity in your tooth. Does it hurt when it first develops or only after it has become serious? How about heart disease? Regardless of whether you are talking about cancer, heart disease, diabetes, stress or problems with the spine, pain is usually the last indicator to appear.

When you begin chiropractic care, pain is also the first symptom to disappear, even though much of the underlying condition remains.

Testimonial

When I first came to Dr. Clark's office, I was very skeptical. I was sure I would suffer back pain for the rest of my life.  Before long, I was able to stop all the pain medications that I had been taking for three years.  I wish I had heard about Dr. Clark years ago. I could have saved myself a lot of time and pain if I had.
