Auto Accident and Whiplash Treatment

Whiplash Diagnosis

Detecting Whiplash
Detecting whiplash can be difficult. Often the neck pain and stiffness symptomatic of whiplash does not surface until days and sometimes years after the auto-accident.(2,3,4) For this reason, auto-accident victims may not go to receive proper treatment until more a serious issue has developed.
Auto-accident victims who receive medical treatment may be improperly diagnosed. Why? Most soft tissue injuries are not usually detected by x-ray imaging technology until years after the injury (when more serious problems, like degenerative disk disease, have developed).
